GILGIT: A meeting was convened under the chair of Secretary Finance Department Gilgit-Baltistan, with Secretary Excise & Taxation Depatment to review the progress of revenue collection based on recent findings of Internal Audit Team.
Secretary Finance urged to take necessary measures to streamline the existing revenue collection mechanism so that the received revenue is deposited into Government treasury in time.
Secretary Excise and Taxation has briefed about computerization of record Database to streamline the existing mechanism of revenue collection.
Secretary Finance appreciated the initiative of digitization and further directed to complete computerization of data during current financial year.
